This book was a nice way to spend a few hours reading about the ins and outs of the surfing and snowboarding world Whilst there wasn t much character interaction in a romantic sense until the latter part of the story, Crashing Waves was still a worthwhile read which I couldn t put down The short inclusion of the main characters from Falling Snow was an added bonus One minor observation, the Aussie slang seemed to be laid on a little thick IMHO I ve never known an Aussie to constantly speak like Uncle Mick Some of the dialogue between him and Rory was ridiculously funny probably because I had no idea what they were referring to Why fight it I enjoyed the story, though it drags with a lot of repetition and dialogue that is too leading, making predictability too easy No real tension is built up until events happen that make the ending obvious However the ending is worth reading to as it gives some much needed dimension to the tale.
